Resistivity Testing

The electrical resistivity of soils are required for certain projects, where the geophysical characteristics are important from the project's application point of view, for example, in power plant projects. The test is conducted using electrodes driven into the ground to measure the surface variation of the flow of current. The information gathered is of value in prospecting for ground water, assessing the quality of rock/soil masses, in mapping the interface between saline and fresh water and similar applications.
